In these troubling times I kind of feel like the title of this portrait could be "Isn't it love that keeps us breathing? (Bonnie Raitt)

Isn't it love we're sent here for?"

I began this portrait of my SIL and her granddaughter many years ago but had to set it aside. Last month I finished it and it was such a blessing to work on. Focusing on the objective of capturing their sparkly selves and the love in their eyes filled me with such hope. That's been a life long blessing of being an artist: in the harshest moments of life being able to create has brought me such peace of mind. The troubles were still there but the load was lessoned.
